The First Stage:Basic Martinism

The First Stage is the entry into the Ordre Martiniste Initiatique Nigeria which has three degrees and a 3-6 years course:

I°, Associate – Raise the “veil of symbols.” Study the metaphysics of the Fall, divine emanation, and the Martinist Pantacle (an emblem of God, Nature, and Man).
II°, Initiate (Mystic) – Engage in spiritual alchemy. Remove “evil magnetisms” and develop a “good spiritual intellect” by your free will. 
III°, S.I. (Supérieur Inconnu) – Reestablish a spiritual connection with a long line of initiates and recuperate your “pristine powers” as a “thinking being” and Man-Spirit Minister.
After successfully passing through the Basic course of the Ordre Martiniste Initiatique initiate can progress to the  intermediate school called the Ordre Kabbalistique de la Rose Croix,
 

The Second Stage:Intermediate Martinism

 
The Ordre Kabbalistique de la Rose Croix  has 4 major degrees and nine initiations.It is a 4 -6 years intermediate course on mystical kabbalah and hermetism.For initiates that successfuly complete the Ordre Kabbalistique de la Rose Croix to the 3rd Degree (Adeptus Exemptus—7th initiation), they can progress to an Advanced Master Class called Elus Cohen.

No—Martinism is not a religion, nor is it meant to supplant one’s religion. It is an esoteric Christian mystical tradition that aims at spiritual knowledge, moral development, and union with God. Persons of all religious affiliations (or none at all) are welcome to the tradition, provided they come to it in a spirit of respect,good will and a belief in God.
Not at all. In fact, Martinism is fundamentally a Christian mystical tradition. Its roots are in the Bible and in the doctrine of the Fall and Reintegration. The writings of mystics such as Jakob Böhme are studied by Martinists, and Jesus Christ is revered as the Divine Redeemer. Far from replacing mainstream Christianity, Martinism is meant to be practiced alongside it and offers the individual an opportunity for greater inner understanding and union with Divinity.

Our Order is based in Nigeria and our Grand Lodge call the Aurora lodge is based in Opebi,Lagos Nigeria.While all initiation is conducted in the Grand lodge by the Grand Master and we have monthly physical lodge meetings in Lagos ,we also have an online virtual lodge meetings where members can meet and exchange thoughts and insights,we a digital newsletter,online oratory discourses, an online community forum, and instruction at a distance for those who are not close to one of our lodges. Although this depends on the individual, 6 years for basic martinist course—Ordre Martiniste Initiatique Nigeria—is 6 years; the intermediate course in martinism (the Ordre Kabbalistique de la Rose Croix) is 4-6 years;while the advance masterclass Elus Cohen is 5-11years .
 
The Ordre Martiniste initiatique Nigeria Associate degree is two years, the Initiate degree is 2 years, including the course and 3 degrees of Knight beneficient of the Holy City and the Superior Inconnu degree is 2 years  .
 
We have found that this is about the amount of time it takes for someone to truly begin to experience and assimilate the change and to make it an enduring part of their being. The higher levels of Élus Cohëns theurgy are only offered to those who have shown themselves ready for it. We are not concerned with rushing people through the degrees, for true reintegration will only occur through devoted work. The Elus Cohen 5 degrees will take between 5 to 11 years depending on the dedication of the student.
Initiation is the beginning of progressive spiritual transformation, consecration,empowerment, and transmission. It is when a person is formally set apart and given instruction. They are also given power through a proper transmission. This is so they can change, have a deeper understanding and wisdom of God’s mysteries, nature, and man, and take on responsibility for serving God.
Let me explain this more. Initiation is not about joining a group or getting some information. It is about:
* A Consecration:Being set apart for a sacred purpose,-Matthew 13:11 “Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven…”;Exodus 28:41“And thou shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them…”
* A Transmission:Getting spiritual authority or a blessing,-2 Kings 2:13–14 Elisha takes up Elijah’s mantle and receives spiritual authority.  The mantle symbolizes succession and initiatic continuity

Comparison of Reading Books Alone and Undergoing Martinist Initiation

You can spend years reading spiritual books, which’s a great way to collect ideas and learn new things.
You will underline passages and fill your shelves with a lot of knowledge.
Having a lot of knowledge does not really change you as a person.
Reading books gives you information. Martinist initiation gives you something more it gives you transmission of knowledge and experience.
When you read, you get an understanding of things.
But when you go through initiation, you start to understand things in a way that gives you what people call living wisdom, and this wisdom is passed down through a genuine lineage.
Reading is like learning something in theory; it is an idea.
Initiation is an experience; it is a structured, disciplined ritual, and it is also a kind of spiritual practice you do.
When you read, you are usually alone. You have to guide yourself.
When you go through initiation, you become part of a group of people from all around the world who are on the same path as you, a path that is all about finding the light.
Reading can give you ideas and insights, but it happens slowly.
Initiation can change you faster; it is like a fast track to transformation, and it is designed to help you become a whole person again through different levels of learning.
Books can teach your mind things.
But initiation can change your being; it can transform you completely.
The question is not whether you can read books.
The question is whether you are ready to change, to be transformed.
So do not just stop at studying, take a step further.

The Élus Coëns (Elect Priests) were the original theurgical (operative) tradition founded by Martinez de Pasqually in the 18th century, and from which the tradition of Martinism (or Martinezism) issued. The Élus Coëns is a tradition of operative theurgy; that is, of rituals intended to unite its participants with the angels and to bring about spiritual regeneration and reintegration to the Divine. In our Order, the operative theurgy of the Élus Coëns constitutes the innermost operative kernel of the tradition, married to the contemplative tradition of the Way of the Heart (that is, the mystical teaching of Louis Claude de Saint-Martin) and to esoteric chivalry (the tradition of Jean-Baptiste Willermoz). This constitutes a full system of spirituality for the true adept.
The true theurgy of the Élus Coëns is not in any way dangerous when engaged within the context of an authentic initiatic organization, observing proper moral principles and under correct initiatic guidance. It is an elevated form of prayer and ritual which is intended solely to bring about submission to the Will of God, regeneration of the soul, and to establish us in a state of grace in which to combat evil spirits; it is not undertaken for any personal or selfish purpose, nor for the purposes of evil magic. Sensationalist impressions of ceremonial magic have no place in our tradition, which places great stress upon moral principles, upon protection through prayer, and upon benevolent relations with the angels. There is no danger in authentic theurgy provided that one is practicing it within a legitimate and authentic initiatic tradition. Our Order has established numerous safeguards to prevent abuse, and advancement in the degrees is strictly governed.
One need not have any background whatsoever in occultism, mysticism, Martinism, or in anything else. The most important things are that one be of good moral character, that one is willing to undertake the disciplines necessary to the spiritual life, and that one feels a strong spiritual calling to pursue this tradition. While some Martinist lineages are connected to (or even require) Freemasonry, the Order of Christ Knights is not. We are open to all sincere aspirants worldwide, and one need not have prior knowledge or experience. We begin at the beginning and lead the aspirant through the various degrees in due course. What are the requirements for initiation into Martinism? The tradition is governed by a system of regular initiatic degrees (Associate, Initiate, Unknown Superior, etc.), and qualified persons may pursue, if they wish, the advanced operative theurgy of the Élus Coëns. The requirements for initiation are:
To live ethically and discretely Maintain a daily practice (prayer, meditation, etc.) Pursue the study of the texts supplied to them To be of good character and in harmony with the ideals of the tradition Not to charge high initiation fees, but to ask only a nominal administrative fee.

Our Order is one of the very few that represents a completely unbroken lineage incorporating all three historical pillars of the tradition: Martinezism-Elus Cohen, Saint-Martinism-Ordre Martiniste Initiatique, and Willermozism-Knight Beneficient of the Holy City(CBCS). This means that our initiatic current has not been broken or mixed with some other tradition, but is pure and offers a complete system of instruction in theurgy and spiritual development.
